Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Macclesfield say they will appoint a new coach ASAP.

I could be wrong, but does Mr "8 wins in 30 games" have an inflated sense of his own worth? Can he endure the tough times?

They probably paid him, a novice, decently. And he did Ok.

I dunno. Don't really care. Bloke just seems to cause trouble. He probably asked them to sign Alexis Sanchez.

Massively. I simply can't see how he can be a successful football manager with that personality. But he may prove me wrong.

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Such a shame if its to do with not being able to pay wages. I am sure he will get a job elsewhere though (which is why he has probably left).

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Everything about him is a bit odd, but being a narcissists or an oddball doesn’t mean you can’t be a good manager.

Yes mate. The Macclesfield Town website has headed up the news with Thank You Sol... I guess they can't pay him but are sad to see him go which is a surprise. I had hoped he'd fall flat on his face but he's done a good job it seems and will get another anytime soon....

Comma, there is NO facts on WHO!

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
sounds like some former players are taking them to court for unpaid wages.
my guess is they cannot afford to pay his wages anymore, or have to get rid of a few players.

he was doing a good job wasnt he?

Well I read what pikey had posted and got the impression that he was itk.

Blimey Comma. You're worse than a dentist extracting teeth very slowly and very painfully.

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Pikey, so your post of 2.45 was a guess although posted as fact which begs the question why didn't you say that at the time?

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Have Macclesfield's owners been labelled racist yet?

geoffpikey 2:53 Thu Aug 15
Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
No, comma. I am just guessing how this has gone. Given his previous history.

I could be wrong, naturally.

Honest: I don't like the bloke. So up himself, it's embarrassing.

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
pikey, are you in possession of information about this which the rest of us are unaware of?

geoffpikey 2:45 Thu Aug 15
Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Well, he should just lower his pay demands! Because HE is almost at school!

First job in management and he starts all acting Billy Big Bollocks for winning a few games? If that's the reason, he's a bigger twat than previously.

So many in football really are risible people.

Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Yeah, They haven't started badly this season so I think it's down to him not being paid.

Willtell 2:39 Thu Aug 15
Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
I know that Campbell is an obnoxious tosspot but it seems he kept Macclesfield in League 2 when the odds were relegation. Macclesfield seem to have massive financial worries and Sol's leaving may well have had more to do with them being unable to afford him...

geoffpikey 2:38 Thu Aug 15
Re: Sol Campbell: Macclesfield Town
Oh dear. "Mutual consent", eh?

If Campbell could remove that tray of chips on his shoulder and just be more LIKEABLE, he'd probably do OK. He does know football, TBF.

As it stands: still a cnut.
